Radoje Domanović (1873–1908) is considered the best satirist in all Serbian literature at the turn of the 20th century. A gifted writer interested in politics, Domanović wielded his implacable pen against the injustices of a reactionary regime and a democracy in the making.

As a part of the initiative of the “Radoje Domanović” Project, created in 2013 and managed by Vladimir Živanović, some of the most famous Domanović’s stories are translated into various world languages in order to make them more accessible worldwide, and promote Serbian culture and literature.
